Working Together
Do you sign NDAs before discussing project details?
Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any detailed project discussions. Simply request an NDA when you get in touch and we will send one over promptly.
What is your minimum project size?
We work with projects of all sizes. For Fixed Price engagements, we typically start from projects of 4+ weeks duration. For Dedicated Team engagements, we require a minimum commitment of 3 months. Get in touch and we can discuss what makes sense for your project.
What time zones does your team work in?
Our team is based in Pune, India (IST, UTC+5:30). We have overlapping working hours with UK and European clients in the morning, and can accommodate early or late calls for USA-based clients. Dedicated team engagements can shift working hours to better align with your timezone.
How do we communicate during the project?
We work in your preferred tools. Most clients use Slack for daily communication, Jira or Trello for project tracking, and Zoom or Google Meet for video calls. We adapt to your workflow rather than asking you to adapt to ours.
IP, Code and Security
Who owns the code and intellectual property after the project?
You do. Upon full payment of all project invoices, Barquecon assigns full intellectual property rights in all custom code and deliverables to the client. We retain rights only to pre-existing internal tools and frameworks, for which you receive a perpetual licence. This is documented in every project agreement.
Do you use our code or data for any other projects?
Never. All code written for your project is strictly confidential and belongs exclusively to you. We do not reuse, share or reference your proprietary code, data or business logic in any other engagement.
Is our data secure during development?
Yes. We follow secure development practices including HTTPS, environment variable management (no secrets in code), access controls and regular dependency updates. We do not request or store production credentials unless absolutely required, and in that case they are managed in a secure password vault.
Development Process
What is your development process?
We follow Agile methodology with 2-week sprints. Each sprint includes planning, daily standups, development, QA and a sprint review demo with the client. This ensures continuous visibility into progress and early detection of any issues. See our full process on the How We Work page.
How do you handle bugs or issues discovered after launch?
All projects include a 30-day post-launch bug-fix warranty at no extra charge. During this period we fix any defects that are reproducible and attributable to our development work. Beyond 30 days, we offer flexible maintenance packages to keep your product running smoothly.
Do you offer post-launch support and maintenance?
Yes. We offer flexible maintenance retainer packages — from a few hours per month for minor updates, to a fully dedicated support team for high-traffic or business-critical applications. We can discuss the right level of support for your needs.
Can you work with our existing codebase or team?
Absolutely. We have extensive experience integrating with existing codebases, legacy systems and in-house development teams. We begin every such engagement with a code review and architecture assessment to understand what exists before making any changes.
